After co-founding legendary D.C. GoGo band TOB, he began working with band member turned producer, Roger Beat, and went on to record and perform with many others including A$AP Rocky, Yung Lean, Makonnen, A-Trak, Louis Brodinski, Gucci Mane, Zaytoven, Young Scooter, Chief Keef, and Fredo Santana but remains an independent artist applying his unique perspective to the game. Gleesh rose to local rap prominence through the release of several street mixtapes that showcase his sometimes dark, sometimes comedic, but always original style of street rap, aptly titled Shitbag Music. In early 2013 he fielded an offer to join Gucci Mane’s 1017 Bricksquad outfit and featured on tracks with 1017 members such as PeeWee Longway.
With sold-out headlining shows in DC and NY along with packing out L A warehouses with over 500 eager fans, Gleesh has proven to be one of the more exciting acts to hit the current-day rap scene with energetic performances. His star quality has earned him enough notoriety to organize and fill his own tours, including the Building Tolerance with Baby Boof, Fenego the Situation, and Mo Kill tours.
Over the years Gleesh has made many large appearances from performing at the Fools Gold Day Off in Brooklyn with Fools Gold recording artist Grande Marshall to performing as an official artist at SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas alongside the likes of New York’s popular A$AP Mob.
Gleesh has had consistent appearances and articles on sites such as XXL Magazine, The Fader, Complex, Noisey, Spin and others. Gleesh looks to solidify his spot in the top tier of rappers.
